Happiness

We feel happy through the big laughs and the little laughs. When we are surrounded by the people we love a wave of positive emotion washes over us.

Sadness

Feeling sad can be one of the biggest ranges in emotion. It’s always okay to let out a cry, big or small, take a deep breath, and talk about what is making you feel sad.

Frustration

As we grow up our body changes and we try new things every day. We make a lot of mistakes and that is just fine as long as we learn and don’t give up.

Excitement

Excitement is anticipation, the build up of positive energy that releases when we experience something that we know will bring us great joy and happiness.

Anger

When our frustrations take over we lash out with our emotions in a negative way. Being mad or angry at a situation is okay as long as we do not hurt others.

Bravery

When we try new things and overcome our frustrations we grow more and more confident in what we can do as we wake up each and every morning. Being brave is trying new things and not being afraid to look silly, make mistakes, or get hurt.

Fear

When we feel afraid, anxious or alone it is important to remember the people we love. They show us how to be brave and have the courage to overcome our fears.

Chris Brancato

About the Author

Chris Brancato took on the role of “daddy” at the ripe old (according to his daughter) age of 32. Prior to that life-altering event he got an early start at creative writing making several attempts at novels (still cooking) and short stories in grade school before switching gears and honing his creative skills of visual art and design.  Chris likes to think he followed in his father’s footsteps as much as he has carved his own niche into the creative community. Chris now manages a creative consulting and communications firm in upstate New York where he lives with his wife, Alycia, and daughter, Elora, who have both graciously earned their own rightful title of “muse” as they consistently provide inspiration to remain creative and grow emotionally as a considerate human.

About the Illustrator

Ron Brancato has worked many years as a freelance graphic designer/illustrator and continues doing so today with Chris for corporate clients as well as pursuing his fine art work while dividing his time doing carpentry work with his other son, Kyle. Aside from that, Ron enjoys foraging for wild edible, as well as medicinal, plants and mushrooms. His favorite title is “Boppa” as he was named by his granddaughter, Elora, by whom this book was inspired.
